There are many groups you and your family can join in order to be more involved with nature and your local community.

The National Trust for Scotland offers a variety of memberships for different ages and groups. By becoming a member you will have access to over 300 properties across the UK and you will recieve and award winning magazine 3 times a year. You will also be supporting vital conservation work that could not be carried out without funding by members. For more information please visit National Trust for Scotland.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust has over 800 hard working volunteers who are involved in everything from planting trees to giving talks on wildlife. By becoming a member you will be helping your local area by doing practical work, helping to run a wildlife watch group and many other activities. There are many local community groups in the South Lanarkshire LBAP area, who manage small sites in urban and rural areas.
